DiAnne L. Mueller, M.S., LPC, Chief Executive Officer of Saint Louis Crisis Nursery for more than 20 years, provides leadership, oversight and supervision for five crisis nurseries, eight outreach centers and the regional administrative offices. Under DiAnne’s guidance , organization capacity has expanded more than 50%, with the capability of simultaneously providing nurturing care to 47 children 24 hour helpline support to parents, and the ability to. The operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days and cares for 7,500+ children.
Armed with a compassionate heart, DiAnne is committed to saving babies’ lives and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this award-winning agency. Frequently, consulted by the media to comment on issues pertaining to children and families, she has been featured on all local television and radio news programs and quoted in most local print media. DiAnne is an inspiring presenter, and extraordinary champion for children, lending her expertise to many on Crisis Nursery program start-up, consulting with children’s advocates across the nation. She provides valuable insights from her experience at building a “best practices model” and delivering a “cutting edge” program serving children and families in the community. The successful launch of Isabel’s House is a most recent example.
DiAnne is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Counseling from Drake University. She possesses a unique blend of experience which includes work as a correctional counselor; clinical consultant in the development of a sexual abuse treatment program and psychotherapist & family therapist.
DiAnne is well-equipped to affect positive change that helps save the lives of children and strengthens families. In recognition of her commitment, DiAnne has been honored with the St. Charles County Heroes Mental Health Award, the Health & Human Services Outstanding Service Award, the Excellence in St. Charles Award from the St. Louis Business Journal, the prestigious Dove Award from St. Charles Business Magazine for Outstanding Leadership in the region, and most recently the Woman of Achievement Award.
Making an impact in the community, she currently serves President of the St. Charles County Family Stress Council, is as a member of the Domestic Violence Board in St. Charles, the American Association of Counseling and Development, the St. Louis Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, and the Human Services Community Advisory Board. She is a past President the St. Louis Council on Child Abuse and Neglect. Recognized as an expert in child abuse prevention practices, she is frequently consulted by corporate and legislative leaders for her position on issues concerning children and families.
DiAnne and husband Chris are parents to three adult children and reside in St. Charles.
