SHIFTS: Varied 7a.m.-3p.m. / 3p.m.-11p.m., includes weekends
EDUCATION: Must have BA/BS in psychology, social work, education, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: At least one year working in a licensed child care facility, or equivalent
informal paid experience through child care work involving direction, supervision and care of children. Must be able to verify experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer 24-hour crisis helpline
  • Provide assessment and crisis counseling to families
  • Complete intakes and discharges
  • Complete developmental assessments
  • Complete relevant treatment plans with children
  • Supervise practicum students as needed/appropriate
  • In the absence of the supervisor, act as resource to CPAs
  • Pass medication administration course, and pass medications accurately
  • Attend 40 hours of paid training each year to refresh/enhance skills
  • Provide care for the physical, social and emotional needs of the children
  • Develop and lead children’s play group activities; keeping the children positively engaged in developmentally appropriate activities
  • Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, children and families, document activities
  • Attend trainings and staff meetings that may be outside the typical schedule
