The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a short-term safe haven for over 4,000 children every year whose families face an emergency caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence, or overwhelming parental stress.

All services are completely free and voluntary.

Recognized as a national leader in child abuse and neglect prevention, the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery’s programs are uniquely designed to provide emergency care for children and critical support services for families, ensuring safety, stability, and hope during times of crisis.

Staffed by highly trained professionals, our 24-hour Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so that families in crisis have access to immediate, non-judgmental crisis intervention, resources, & support.

Ways to Give

Your contribution makes a difference in the lives of families in the St. Louis area. Supporter donations allow us to provide formula, diapers, and food bags, offer emergency overnight care for infants, keep families from homelessness, and invest in programs that enrich kids’ lives.

We know that parenting is hard and can become completely overwhelming when parents don’t have the support they need.

The Crisis Nursery provides 24-hour care for children birth through age twelve at five Nurseries & support for families at eleven Family Empowerment Outreach Centers throughout St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois and surrounding regions.
